The main section of the Letecká 55 route runs through the Považský Inovec mountain range, while the final stretch—leading from Mníchova Lehota via Macková, beneath Čiernachov, and past the Chata pod Ostrým vrchom mountain hut—lies within the Strážovské vrchy mountains. The start and finish are located in the town of Trenčín.

With the exception of the initial section to Beckov (which largely runs parallel to the Váh Cycling Route) and the final stretch leading to the finish line in Trenčín, the entire Letecká 55 route follows marked hiking trails. The 2026 Letecká 55 route will be ITRA-certified.

The event organizer reserves the right to modify the route and the time limits for checkpoints. Registered participants will be notified via email of any such changes.

Aid stations and checkpoints:

Three aid stations offering food and drinks will be located along the route. Checkpoints will also be located at these sites, where times will be recorded using an electronic timing system. Below is a list of the checkpoints, including their locations, distances from the start, and time limits.

K1 Before Beckov (16 km) – time limit: Saturday, March 6, 2027, by 09:30.

K2 Inovecká chata (35 km) – time limit: Sunday, March 6, 2027, by 12:30.

K3 Chata Pod Ostrým vrchom (45 km) – time limit: Sunday, March 6, 2027, by 13:45.

Finish Line:

The finish line for the Letecká 55 is located in Trenčín at the ARENA Ostrov building (Na Ostrove 363). The total time limit to complete the Letecká 55 course is 8.5 hours (by 15:30 on Saturday, March 6, 2027).
