UTVV - ULTRA TRAIL VIPAVA VALLEY
Ultra Trail Vipava Valley (UTVV) is one of the most distinctive trail running events in Central Europe. It takes place in the heart of the picturesque Vipava Valley in Slovenia, known for its diverse landscape, vineyards, historic villages and stunning views of the Trnovský Les mountain range and the surrounding area. UTVV offers a combination of technical mountain sections, fast running passages, wine trails and natural scenery that make this race unforgettable for both elite and recreational runners. The 11th edition of UTVV will be held from 24 to 26 April 2026. This race is a great way to enrich your running season - whether you are looking for a challenge, an experience or just a beautiful environment to run. The atmosphere in the valley, support from the locals and the challenging but beautiful courses create an event that runners love to return to every year. Registration is still open, but capacities are gradually filling up. Anyone who hesitates can easily miss the opportunity to stand at the start of one of the most beautiful trail races in the region.

The event offers a wide variety of distances, ensuring that every participant will find a suitable challenge:

Emperor – 160 km
The flagship race, designed for the most experienced ultrarunners, runs through the most beautiful sections of the mountain range, offering thousands of vertical meters and the ultimate trail experience. -
Centurion – 110 km
A technically and altitude-challenging medium ultra distance for those who want a big challenge without an extremely long time commitment. -
Gladiator – 60 km
A popular route with a combination of mountain sections, panoramic views and faster runs. -
Legionary – 30 km
An ideal choice for intermediate trail riders who want to experience the UTVV atmosphere on a shorter but still rewarding route. -
Asterix – 15 km
A shorter and more accessible route, suitable for beginners or runners who want to explore the region at a running pace. -
Castro City Run – 10 km
City run in the historic center, ideal for the general public. -
Obelix Hike&Wine - 10 km
During the trip, you will walk through vineyards and vineyards in the valley — it is focused on walking in nature and the winemaking atmosphere.
