SAFETY

SAFETY:

It is the responsibility of every participant in the Letecká stovka to assess their physical and mental fitness to take part in an event of this nature, and to ensure that they are in a fit state of health prior to the event – i.e. that they currently have no health problems or injuries that could cause complications during the Letecká stovka event.

The organisers of the ‘Letecká stovka’ event strongly recommend that participants undergo an individual medical examination prior to the event, particularly if the participant has recovered from an infectious illness (such as tonsillitis, flu, etc.) within the last 6 to 8 weeks prior to the start of the Letecká stovka event.

Every participant must carry an emergency thermal blanket!

If you have any questions or concerns prior to the event, please contact the organisers. If you have any concerns regarding your health or safety, we recommend that you consult a doctor before the event, contact the organiser, or reconsider your participation in the Letecká stovka event.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE:

The organisers will have first-aid kits available at the checkpoints, containing the necessary supplies to treat minor injuries and less serious medical conditions at the checkpoints (“live checkpoints”). Medical staff will be present at the event (but not between checkpoints).

In the event of an injury or medical problem that would prevent participants from reaching a location accessible by car, we recommend that you contact the emergency services immediately on 112 (a mobile phone is part of the compulsory equipment).

Participants in the Letecká stovka event are obliged to provide first aid in the event of another participant being injured.

EMERGENCY SUPPORT o.z. MEDICAL SERVICE

EMERGENCY SUPPORT o.z. provides medical services at selected checkpoints along the Letecká stovka route.

This civic association, founded in 2016, was established on the initiative of paramedics and primarily to provide medical supervision. In their work, they encounter a variety of situations – some fortunate, others less so – and therefore understand very well what it means to have a professional paramedic on hand at any time.

In practice, they often find that people lack knowledge about providing first aid, which is why they are very keen to take part in events aimed primarily at children. They are convinced that if children are taught from an early age, they will not be afraid to provide assistance when they reach adulthood.

They would like to develop this idea further, which has led them to incorporate educational activities into the work of their civic association.
